The Glover Park Community is tucked between Glover-Archbold Park on its western border and Whitehaven Park on the south end. North of Glover Park is McClean Gardens, a 43-acre residential development that was developed in the 1940s. This community is defined by Rodman Street NW, Idaho Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue and 39th Street NW.
Residential housing in these DC neighborhoods include a mix of detached, single-family homes, condominiums and apartments that offer the best of city living. Individual buyers may appreciate the 1 bedroom condo selection, while families might warm up to a three-bedroom home with a manicured lawn. Style options vary with modern luxury apartments, row houses and traditional homes available. Most of the housing has a charming, historic appeal, characterized by multi-story, brick buildings and porch-front homes that have been popular in previous eras. McClean Gardens, originally developed in the 1940s, maintains an early-suburban feel, despite its location in the center of an urban metro. Glover Park: One of the more popular neighborhoods in DC, Glover Park sits between the Glover – Archbold Park and Whitehaven Park. There are many condos and townhouses for sale in Glover Park with lovely views of the park. Single family homes in Glover Park are priced a lot higher than townhomes/condos, ranging from the mid $700,000 – to over $1 million for updated homes.
Cathedral Heights: Located west of the Glover Archbold Park and between Wesley Heights and Massachusetts Heights, Cathedral Heights is a nice quite neighborhood with lots of single family homes for sale. Row houses are also featured in this area, while condos and townhouses for sale are located along Wisconsin Ave. Cathedral Heights houses start in the mid $200,000’s for older homes with smaller square footage to well over $1 million.
McLean Gardens: Located in the Northwest area of Washington DC, McLean Gardens is a small historic area. Real Estate in McLean Gardens includes converted condos, duplexes, and lofts. Many units have views of Glover Archbold Park and are close to the Metrorail.
